英特尔加入A4WP无线充电联盟

日前，英特尔宣布，将以董事会成员的方式加入无线充电联盟，成为其正式会员。加入无线充电联盟，正是因为英特尔看到了无线充电技术在未来的良好发展。 无线充电联盟即Alliance for Wireless Power，简称A4WP。它是一家专注于无线充电的国际行业协会，并且其目标是终结基于线缆的电源传输。A4WP有超过40家的企业董事会成员，其中包括了高通、三星电子、Gill Industries、IDT、Broadcom等。 除了A4WP，当前主要的无线充电联盟还包括Wireless Power Consortium(以下简称“WPC”)和Power Matters Alliance(以下简称“PMA”)。WPC和PMA的无线充电技术基于磁感应原理，而A4WP的无线充电技术基于磁共振原理。后者可以同时为多个设备充电，而且在设备的位置与角度上具有弹性。不仅可以为手机充电，还可以为笔记本电脑充电。 PMA联盟成立于去年3月，如今已有超过70家会员，如三星、Broadcom、宏达电、LG及华为等，其董事成员包括美国联邦通讯委员(FCC)、AT&T、星巴克和Energy Star等。 WPC创建于2008年，目前已有100多家会员，其中包括三星、LG、松下、索尼、摩托罗拉移动、Verizon Wireless、HTC和华为等。 在三大标准组织中，三星均为其成员。但很明显可以看出三星更倾向于哪一家：三星去年联合高通创建了A4WP。 有业内人士称，有如此多的无线充电标准可选，相互之间的不兼容性将给用户带来不便，就好比用美国的电源插座去匹配英国的电源插头。 此前，无线充电联盟在今年年初发布了基于近场磁共振技术的无线充电配置，该技术无需设备和充电器直接接触，还能对多部设备甚至不同类型的设备进行无线充电。对于无线充电设备，全球已经有多家厂商在生产制造无线充电设备，并且在不断完善无线充电的使用体验和技术支撑，这也将大力的推进无线充电技术更快的走进人们生活的进程。 本文授权编译自EE Times，版权所有，谢绝转载 参考英文原文：Intel joins A4WP wireless charging group, by Peter Clarke

{pagination} Intel joins A4WP wireless charging group Peter Clarke LONDON – Intel has joined the Alliance for Wireless Power (A4WP) consortium and taken a seat on the board of directors along with Broadcom, Gill Industries, IDT, Qualcomm, Samsung Electronics and Samsung Electro-Mechanics. The move will put weight behind A4WP which is a rival standards organization to the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), seeking to provide wireless charging for portable consumer electronics devices, including, smartphones, tablet, netbook and laptop computers. WPC was the first to market and claims as many as 8.5 million products have shipped using its Qi technology, some based on chips announced last fall by Texas Instruments. Intel demonstrated its own technology. A4WP, which specifies the use of magnetic resonance technology, is capable of simultaneous charging of multiples devices and the flexible positioning of devices and a charging platter. "Intel believes the A4WP specification, particularly the use of near field magnetic resonance technology, can provide a compelling consumer experience and enable new usage models that make device charging almost automatic," said Navin Shenoy, general manager of the mobile client platform division at Intel, in a statement issued by A4WP. The A4WP mission includes development of industry specifications for submission to national and international standards development organizations, management of an A4WP certification program, including consumer-recognizable certification logo and the coordination with national and international regulatory agencies regarding policy and compliance.
